Rooted in Collaboration: A Public Private Partnership on Forest Landscape Restoration (FLR)

After a successful launch in Alwar, Rajasthan last year, the Lupin Human Welfare & Research Foundation (LHWRF) and RECAP4NDC have inaugurated their joint initiative on Forest Landscape Restoration (FLR) in Dhule, Maharashtra. The partnership aims to promote sustainable agriculture and agroforestry across 5000 ha of degraded agricultural landscapes, strengthen livelihoods, and support 10,000 small and marginal farmers in the region.

The launch was organised by the LHWRF team and was strongly supported by the Maharashtra State Forest Department and the Gram Panchayat of Chavadi village in Dhule District. The event received heartwarming participation from over 300 villagers who play a crucial part in successful implementation of the initiative. The programme also featured Voices from the Field, a powerful session wherein local community members shared their experiences and ongoing everyday challenges.

This collaboration is a meaningful step towards advancing climate action and landscape restoration goals in Maharashtra and Rajasthan. Together, we are building pathways to sustainability, resilience, and ecological restoration.
