Progress of the project over the last one year was discussed and key activities for the upcoming year were discussed and agreed upon. RECAP4NDC contributing to the Aravalli Green Wall Initiative
Two of RECAP4NDC’s project areas – Delhi NCR and Gujarat – fall within the geography of the Aravalli mountain range. The intervention sites selected in Gujarat and NCR within the Aravalli range will contribute to the larger goal of the Government of India’s Aravalli Green Wall Action Plan. In line with this larger goal, the project participated in the 1st Aravalli Green Wall Partnership Summit, a flagship event organized by the Government of Haryana, to bring stakeholders together to discuss the restoration of the Aravallis. The Union Minister for the Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Sh. Bhupender Yadav was also present for this event. The project showcased some of the work already completed in identifying the extent of degradation in the Aravalli ranges and discussed upcoming activities, including the development of DPRs for the restoration of intervention sites.
Project planning for 2025
