NDC TIA regional closing workshop

The 2024 Regional Conference of the NDC Transport Initiative for Asia (NDC-TIA) brought together NITI Aayog and other key stakeholders to explore the vital transformations required to set the transport sector on a sustainable path to zero emissions by mid-century. Focusing on China, India, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines, the conference showcased collaborative efforts and developments in transport decarbonisation across Asia.

NDC TIA India closing workshop

The closing conference of Phase I of the NDC Transport Initiative for Asia (India) marked a significant milestone in advancing low-carbon transport solutions. Key launches included a Project Video Compendium showcasing India’s progress and a report on Financing Dialogues for Decarbonizing Transport, addressing the financial challenges in the sector. The event featured thematic sessions on critical topics like EV policy guidelines, zero-emission trucking, just transition, and charging infrastructure. The Forum on Freight Decarbonisation: e-FAST India Roundtable highlighted freight's role in decarbonization efforts.

The event concluded with the exciting announcement of Phase II, focusing on freight decarbonization and zero-emission trucks, laying the groundwork for a greener, more sustainable transport future in India.
