Rooted in Collaboration: A Public Private Partnership on Forest Landscape Restoration (FLR)
Lupin Human Welfare & Research Foundation (LHWRF) and RECAP4NDC have partnered for a joint initiative on FLR. This partnership aims to promote sustainable agriculture and agroforestry in degraded agricultural landscapes, strengthen livelihoods and support small and marginal farmers in the region of Alwar in Rajasthan and Dhule in Maharashtra.
The launch event, was held in the month of August 2025, was honoured by the presence of Ms. Taina Dyckhoff, Head of the Environment and Climate Division at the German Embassy, who highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in advancing sustainable landscapes and fostering resilient livelihoods. The partnership commenced with an insightful field visit to meet with women farmers, witness sustainable agriculture practices in action, and learn about innovative livestock management. The launch was formally marked by signing of a cooperation agreement between LHWRF and RECAP4NDC and featured Voices from the Field, a powerful session wherein local community members shared their experiences and ongoing everyday challenges.
This collaboration is a meaningful step towards advancing climate action and landscape restoration goals in Rajasthan and Maharashtra. The expected outcome of the joint initiative is that 20,000 small and marginal farmers have improved their livelihoods by practising sustainable agricultural practices and agroforestry and have improved access to government subsidies/schemes.
Together, we are building pathways to sustainability, resilience, and ecological restoration.
