Project : Indo-German Support Project for Climate Action in India
GIZ India and TERI | The Imperial Hotel, New Delhi
The 5th IKI India Networking Workshop was held on 25-26 September 2025 in New Delhi, bringing together representatives from IKI India projects, their consortium and implementing partners, political counterparts from India and Germany, and key stakeholders from India’s climate and biodiversity community.
As in previous years, the workshop was jointly organised by the IKI India Interface Project, coordinated by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), and The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI).
Over two days, the workshop provided a platform for exchange, reflection, and cross-project learning across IKI’s four priority fields of action: mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions, climate change adaptation, enhancement of natural carbon sinks, and biodiversity conservation. Through expert inputs, interactive discussions, and a project poster exhibition, participants shared progress, discussed implementation challenges, and explored synergies between projects and policy processes.
The deliberations highlighted the importance of locally grounded action, integrated approaches across mitigation, adaptation and biodiversity, stronger linkages between policy, implementation and learning, and enabling conditions for scaling and sustainability, while reaffirming the value of the IKI India Networking Workshop as a central forum for strengthening collaboration and knowledge exchange within the IKI India community.
