The Government of Tamil Nadu officially announced the Chief Minister's Integrated Urban Transformation Mission (CMIUTM) with an allocation of INR 21.17 billion for FY 2026–27. The mission provides a dedicated funding and implementation framework for urban infrastructure, creating opportunities to mainstream Complete Streets, pedestrian infrastructure, and other sustainable mobility interventions into state-supported city investments.
