The Union Cabinet approved the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana (BHAVYA) scheme to develop 100 plug-and-play industrial parks by FY2031-32, integrating road, rail, port, and logistics connectivity under the PM GatiShakti framework, targeting development of 100 plug-and-play industrial parks between FY2026-27 and FY2031-32, with up to 50 parks in the first phase selected through a challenge-based competitive process involving states and industrial development agencies. West Bengal has already identified land for BHAVYA industrial parks, signalling that the scheme is now moving from policy design towards state-level implementation.
