Blue Solutions - Implementing the CBD Strategic Plan in the Field of Marine and Coastal Biodiversity

Completed     Global
01 Jan 2013 to 30 Nov 2018

Description

This global project is jointly implemented by GIZ, GRID-Arendal, IUCN, and UN Environment, dedicated to the conservation and sustainable use of marine biodiversity. The project identifies and disseminates successful on-the-ground solutions covering a wide range of marine topics. Additionally, it contributes to capacity development through training courses and various exchange formats. The project also compiles results of exchanges and advises on integrating approaches into national and regional strategies, as well as planning processes. In this way, the project supports partner countries in contributing to implementing one of the key areas of activity of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).
