The project accelerates Agrivoltaics adoption and scaling in India by integrating solar power generation with sustainable farming. This dual-use approach optimises land use, enhancing solar deployment and food security. By empowering farmers, developers, and communities, it fosters income diversification, economic growth, and climate resilience.
By deploying Agrivoltaics across diverse agro-ecological zones, the project showcases scalable solutions, develops viable business models and financing mechanisms to ensure economic feasibility for both farmers and developers. Capacity development activities strengthen technical and strategic skills across key stakeholders.
In collaboration with central and state governments, it promotes policy alignment to integrate Agrivoltaics into energy and agricultural frameworks. It fosters local expertise, knowledge transfer, and gender inclusion. These efforts lay the foundation for long-term sustainability and large-scale adoption of Agrivoltaics.
